Chaupal hosted its first Declamation contest on 9th February,2016 at the Government Senior Secondary School,Baiyanpr Sonipat.Nearly 60 government schools from the whole district of Sonipat participated in the event.There were almost 130 participants who expressed their views on the topic of "महिला सुरक्षा और सम्मान"| It was a pleasure to hear the participants speak with confidence and put forward their point.The participants very well highlighted the sorry state of affairs in India regarding the status of women.They urged the audience to stop objectifying women and to give women equal respect as men.Dr.R.S.Tonk,Chairperson Chaupal acknowledged the passion and drive of the young contestants .He added that the spark of the students had ignited a new fire of hope within him.Honorable Chauudhary Randhir Singh ji ,ex-Governor of Sikkim and father of Dr.R.S.Tonk ,who is a product of the Government School Baiyanpur himself ,was also present at the event.

The event was judged by a panel of 8 eminent judges .The prize winners were given trophies and cash prize worth 14,000 rupees.

All the students were given certificates and a souvenir for their participation
